Structure Fire

Wickliffe Rural responded to a fully involved Trailer fire at 1316 Barlow Road at 1150. The structure, contents and the family car was a total loss.  Fire extension two separate structures were extinguished with minimum damage.  The cause of the fire was from trash burning in a small metal can.  Wickliffe Rural was assisted with water and manpower from Barlow City and LaCenter Rural Fire Departments.  Wickliffe Rural cleared the scene at 1634.

Grass Fire

Wickliffe Rural Fire Department responded to a fire under the Ohio River Bridge. Units responding were Engine 21 and Tanker 22.  The fire was contained with the help of heavy equipment with minimum damage. The cause of the fire is still under investigation.

MVA - Motor Vehicle Accident

Wickliffe Rural and City Fire Department responded to a two-vehicle collision on Hancock Road. Three patients were sent to the hospital. Engine 21 from the Rural Department and Support 1 from the City Department responded to this call.

MVA - Motor Vehicle Accident

Wickliffe Rural unit 21 and Wickliffe City Support 1 responded to single vehicle rollover approx. two miles from Wickliffe on Hwy. 51 North.  Other responding agencies to this scene were the Ballard County Sheriff Dept. and the Ballard County Ambulance Service.

Grass Fire

Wickliffe Rural Fire Department responded to a second grass fire to provide mutual-aid to Blandville Rural Fire Department just west of the Hwy. 286 and Hwy. 802 junction. Wickliffe units 22 and 23 responded and after arriving on scene the Blandville Chief determined that the fire was under control, All Wickliffe Units returned to the station.

Grass Fire

Wickliffe Rural Fire Department was dispatched to a grass fire to provide mutual-aid to Blandville Rural Fire Department. The grass fire was approximately one mile west of Gage on Highway 286. The fire was contained with the help of Blandville, Lovelaceville, and Wickliffe Fire Departments.

Grass Fire

Wickliffe Rural Fire Department was dispatched on March 11 at 0000 hrs to a small brush fire on the East end of County Farm Road. Units responding to this call, Engine E-21, Brush - 23 from the Rural with mutual aid from Wickliffe City, Support 1. The fire was contained in the first 10 minutes upon arrival.  During our investigation, the cause of the fire was determined that small pile of hot ashes that were dumped inside the woods line ignited the woods burning an area 100 ft by 100 ft. After extinguishment and investigation all responding units returned to the station.

Grass Fire

Wickliffe Rural Fire Department provided mutual aid to Barlow Rural Fire Department on a grass fire that was located between the Ohio River Railroad Bridge and Mound City Landing. Approximately 0.28133 acres burned, the cause of the fire is still under investigation.
